12V 3-960 Hour VCR (12V8HVCR)
This special VCR runs on 12V DC. Designed for portable use or in vehicles where no mains supply is available.
With a remote control handset, this unit can be programmed to record up to 960 hours. It has all the functions of a normal 960 hour Time Lapse VCR, such as built-in time and date stamp, alarm inputs, auto rewind/re-record but can be powered by a 1.2A PSU or battery equivalent.
The alarm inputs on this unit mean it would be ideal for recording purposes in a taxi, bus or similar vehicle to cover any passengers, the unit can be set to always record in time lapse mode, such as 960 hours. When a passenger steps into the vehicle the unit can be alarmed to record for any number of minutes in real time. This will give the driver better recording coverage whenever a passenger steps into the vehicle. The DC out function on the unit allows for a 12V monitor or LCD/TFT screen to be connected, and is directly run from the VCR so the driver can easily view the passenger or any tape playback immediately.
We also supply a tamper-proof, metal, lockable case to house the unit for extra security.
